It is such an exciting time preparing for a new arrival, and to be very honest I felt quite unprepared when our little one decided to make an appearance into the world... Nearly 4 weeks early.

Thankfully Mamas & Papas had sent me some key essentials, which saved the day.

Let me first tell you about the Bowling Style Changing Bag. This was absolutely perfect and fit both mine and babies hospital essentials. It’s full of little compartments and pockets so you can have a little section for just about everything. It also has a removable carry strap that came to good use when leaving the hospital.

It comes with a matching insulated bottle warmer, which I can assure you keeps milk at a good temperature. Plus a compact changing mat and an extremely handy pouch to use as you please. I keep a few of my essentials along with wipes, creams and so on in this handy pouch.

Rather than picking up bibs, hats etc individually, you can pick up an essential set that has all the bits you need for hospital so you don’t forget anything. You won’t be short of options when it comes to picking an outfit for baby to wear home. From a simple cute sleepsuit to an actual outfit like this adorable 2 piece tshirt and dungaree set. In our case our little one was a tiny baby so he couldn’t wear his outfits. He’s getting bigger by the day and will soon be cladded in all his cute M&P numbers.Abigail Bowling Bag - Parent Approved Review

Aside from all the gorgeous clothing, I also I found the large muslins extremely helpful. At 90 x 90cm they are indeed large. I’ve been using them for just about everything. From using it as a nursing cover, swaddle and much more these are a definite must have in your hospital bag and beyond. I do not go anywhere without them. We’ve made really good use of these muslins, especially as our baby was born in the summer and we experienced some heatwaves. They’ve been handy as a light blanket, basically what I am trying to say is you need these muslins.

If you're a little worried as to what you need for baby in your hospital bag, just head down to Mamas & Papas and you’ll find everything you need. Be sure to make use of their parent to be events and their personal shopping service too.
