Crafty ideas for the Easter holidays

The Easter holidays are here, which happily means more time spent with your littles. It does however mean you need to think of ways to keep little hands and minds occupied, particularly on any (inevitable) rainy days. So, we turned to some of our craftiest influencers in the hunt for Easter-themed activities that are toddler-friendly, creative (but not too tricky) and thrifty (these can all be done with bits and bobs you’ll probably have at home.)

Bunny Bags

Materials:

2 x paper plates
Brown and pink card
Gluestick
Pen
Scissors

“Easter Bunny bags are the perfect Easter craft idea for your little one. Simply cut one of your paper plates in half and stick the fronts of the plates together using your gluestick.

Next, cut out some bunny ears, cheeks, whiskers and a nose using your brown and pink card. Stick these to the front plate. Draw on some eyes and you’re finished!”

Daffodil Bouquet

Materials:

Yellow card
Egg box
Orange paint
Straws
Scissors
Sellotape or glue

“Cut the egg trays into sections and paint orange. While these are drying draw and cut out your daffodil petal shapes using your yellow card and scissors.

Using your gluestick, stick an egg tray onto your daffodil cut out. Finally, stick your straws onto the back.”

“Add a fun Easter twist to a scissor skills activity. Cut out some Easter egg shapes and long strips of paper and stick the egg cut-outs to the top of the strips. Draw some decorations onto the eggs and a scissor path onto the strips.”
