Our Adventures with the Ocarro Pushchair

Our Adventures with the Ocarro Pushchair

I’m Emily, wife and mother to five year old Finn and one year old Belle. I work in a primary school in between parenting.

We have been reviewing the Ocarro all-terrain Pushchair over the last few weeks. As a family, we love long walks and exploring, heading out on treks that aren’t particularly pram friendly. Having a baby with us means we need a pram that can handle the walks - the Mamas and Papas Ocarro pushchair can do just that. We headed out for a muddy walk in the woods at the weekend and surprisingly I had no problem pushing this pram through the mud (can’t say the same about my shoes unfortunately!). Its supportive dual suspension helps the pram master all terrains.

"A breeze to push"

We often walk across the fields near our house in the evenings to see the wildlife and farm animals. I decided to put the Ocarro to the test as the long grass and uneven floor is often a struggle for pushchairs, but the Ocarro’s tough puncture proof tyres made the pram a breeze to push. There is a strap on the handle to wrap around your wrist when going down hills to prevent the pram coming out of your grip, which I think is also a great addition to the pram.

Whilst my eldest is at school, I often take the opportunity to go to the shops with my little girl. I love how the Ocarro folds as one piece, meaning there is no hassle taking the seat unit off, this gets big brownie points for me! Especially on the school run it really does make it a smoother transition getting in and out of the car.

"It’s perfect for our family"

I also really appreciate the size of the seat. My daughter is 18 months old so by no means a little baby and as you can see she has plenty of space still in the pram to grow. I’m able to lie the seat back (if I’m lucky enough for her to nap) when out and she’s sleeping by simply pulling back the lever behind the seat. Something I also really like about this pram is the upright position. I find many prams the child can be slightly reclined in the most upright position. But in the Ocarro, the child is sat up and able to see everything around them, in my experience making them a much happier baby.

We’re really loving the Mamas and Papas Ocarro, and would recommend it to other parents and parents-to-be, it’s perfect for our family and lifestyle and I’m sure it will be for yours too!
