As a first time parent to be, the whole pregnancy experience has been quite overwhelming and exciting at the same time. With so many things to buy and with so many options out there, it’s been hard to determine what is needed and what would work best for us. For this reason I put off looking into anything baby related for a while as I didn’t know where to start - we were both clueless!
"The personal shop helped us SO much"
We decided to make an appointment at our local Mamas & Papas store for our own personal shopping experience to get help and advice from their expert staff. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at ease knowing everything we needed was available under one roof and we would be guided through it all. The personal shop helped us SO much! The staff were so lovely and extremely helpful and it was great to get uninterrupted time to ask as many questions as we needed. We ran through products one by one, and they demonstrated how everything worked. We booked an hour appointment (they also have a 30 minute option) and we discussed pushchairs, car seats, baby bouncers, next to me cribs and play mats.
The pushchair demonstration was extremely useful. We have never used a pram before and who knew how complicated they could be; I certainly didn’t know how much you could do with a pram (thankfully I do now!) We looked at the Ocarro as we are planning to go on lots of walks and adventures when our baby arrives, it’s all terrain so seemed like the perfect option. You can also get adapters so the car seat connects to the pushchair which is going to be fab for quick trips to the shops.

Since our time at the store, me and my husband have gone away and have organised everything that we want to get before our little boy arrives. I’d highly recommend going to your local store if you have any questions or want a general look around as we found the whole experience really helpful and informative; definitely a huge help for any new mums to be who are feeling overwhelmed!
